Tottenham Hotspur have spoken to representatives of Luis Enrique over the vacant Spurs manager’s job.
This is according to 90Min‘s Sean Walsh and Graeme Bailey, who provided an update on Tottenham’s search on Friday.
Tottenham remain in pursuit of a new manager following Antonio Conte’s departure in March.

Plenty of coaches have been linked with the Tottenham reins, including the former Barcelona and Spain boss.
However, Spurs are up against Chelsea, who also have an interim manager in place until the end of the season.
Enrique is reportedly eyeing the Blues job and, according to 90Min, talks with Chelsea went ‘very well’.
The 50-year-old’s representatives have also spoken to Tottenham as they look for a new coach in the dugout.
‘He remains one of Spurs’ preferred candidates,’ added the report.
And with Chelsea interviewing several candidates, the race for Enrique appears to still be very much open.

Our view
Enrique is an ‘unbelievable‘ manager who has worked wonders for Barcelona and Spain.
He is also very confident, once telling Reuters he believed he was “the best coach on the face of this earth”.
Enrique also seems keen on a long-term project, and that’s definitely what Spurs are at present.
There’s a lot of work that needs doing at N17 before Tottenham can be sustainably challenging for trophies.
That said, Spurs will have strong competition from Chelsea for Enrique’s services.
We’ll see what happens on this front.
Nevertheless, Enrique is definitely a great manager who could turn the North Londoners’ fortunes around.
