Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Luis Enrique and could speak to the out-of-work Spanish manager as soon as this week.
That’s according to a report from The Telegraph, who claim that Tottenham want talks with Enrique soon.
It’s stated that Spurs could speak to Enrique as soon as this week with Daniel Levy looking to move forward with his managerial hunt.
The report notes that Enrique has already been interviewed by Tottenham’s London rivals Chelsea.
This was always going to happen with Antonio Conte and Graham Potter leaving in quick succession.
Spurs and Chelsea will be fishing in the same pond when it comes to managers and Enrique is just one of a number of managers linked to both clubs.
Chelsea appear to prefer Julian Nagelsmann though and Tottenham may hope to speak to Enrique in the coming days about a move to North London.

Luis Enrique news interesting given Fabio Paratici situation
This isn’t the first suggestion of Tottenham’s interest in Enrique.
Claims from The Athletic in March suggested that Enrique was actually the frontrunner for the Tottenham job.
TalkSPORT added in March that Enrique would be on Tottenham’s shortlist to replace Conte.
Yet the suggestions have been that interest in Enrique has largely come from Fabio Paratici.
Tottenham’s director of football is a big fan of Enrique and has been a long-term admirer of the Spaniard.
However, Paratici can’t actually carry out his duties right now having been hit with a worldwide ban.
Paratici’s appeal will be heard this week and Tottenham may still hope to have the Italian playing a key role in the managerial hunt.
Levy and co may fancy going for Enrique even if Paratici isn’t involved though, even with some concerns.
Enrique hasn’t managed in club football since 2017 and throwing him into a mess at Spurs is a risk.
Additionally, Enrique wants to play the famed Spanish ‘Tiki Taka’ way and Tottenham’s squad just isn’t set up for that right now.
Enrique is an impressive candidate but whether he is truly right for Tottenham is up for debate.
