Tottenham Hotspur snapped up Emerson Royal from Barcelona on deadline day, and it turns out Lucas Moura helped recruit him.
That’s according to The Athletic, who claim that Moura was ‘full of praise’ for Tottenham, raving about them when speaking to Emerson about a move.
Moura, who still has three years left on his £80,000-a-week deal, has clearly loved life at Tottenham and now wants the same for his fellow Brazilian.
Moura was a great influence for Carlos Vinicius last summer, with the pair becoming close friends as Moura helped his compatriot settle in North London.
That will likely be the same for Emerson now, with Moura proving to be an important man off the pitch, just as he can be on the pitch.
Emerson is also understood to have been impressed when speaking to director of football Fabio Paratici, convincing him to make the move to Tottenham.

Paratici and Moura seem to have worked well in terms of recruiting Emerson, whilst having a Portuguese speaker as manager in Nuno Espirito Santo has to help too.
Emerson may be a big signing at almost £26million, but he will face a real fight for a starting role given how well Japhet Tanganga has started the season.
Maybe at some point this season, we will see Moura and Emerson working together down the right flank for Tottenham, with the Spurs man surely excited to play with new boy Emerson.
