Leicester City are keeping tabs on Lewis Neilson and could bring the Dundee United youngster to the Premier League in the summer transfer window, as reported by The Courier.
While Micky Mellon’s Tangerines are sitting comfortably in mid-table after an impressive return to the Premiership, the future looks even brighter than the present at Tannadice.
In Kerr Smith, Logan Chalmers and Lewis Neilson, three of the most exciting teenage talents in Scottish football are plying their trade in orange and black.
But while Smith recently signed a contract to ward off the likes of Aston Villa and Manchester United, Dundee United know, deep down, keeping Neilson for the long haul will be easier said than done.
The Courier reports Leicester are keen on the talented centre-half.
United managed to resist approaches for Neilson in January but there’s a chance Brendan Rodgers’ side will return for the Scotland youth star when the transfer window opens again at the end of the season.

Rodgers has a superb track record when it comes to developing young talent, with Wesley Fofana, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Caglar Soyuncu and James Justin going from strength to strength under the former Celtic boss.
Neilson would be in good company at the King Power Stadium.
“As far as interest in him, then I’m delighted for him. I hope there is because that means I’ve got good players here,” United boss Mellon told the Courier in 2020 when Leicester sent scouts to watch Neilson in action.
“I wouldn’t want an empty scouting bay as that would mean people had made their mind up about my team.
“I have no problem in teams taking an interest.”
