Brentford have reportedly made an opening offer to sign VfL Wolfsburg star Omar Marmoush, with Arsenal and Tottenham also interested in the Egyptian international.
According to Sky Germany, the west London side have made a bid for the 23-year-old winger, who last season enjoyed a breakthrough loan spell with Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart, attracting Premier League interest from Arsenal and Tottenham along the way.
And this summer, Wolfsburg are open to selling the attacker, with Brentford now making an offer to sign Marmoush in what could be a great move for Thomas Frank’s side, who have already signed Aaron Hickey this summer despite strong interest from Arsenal.
Labelled as an ‘artisit’, Marmoush bagged three goals and five assists for Stuttgart last season as the German side just about survived in the Bundesliga, and the winger’s form could now see Wolfsburg land a decent pay day, though it is currently unknown how much the Egyptian could go for this summer.
Indeed, Brentford are eager to improve their attacking options this summer, with Arsenal also seeking a new wide-attacker following their failed attempt to sign Raphinha from Leeds, and Marmoush could have been perfect for the Gunners.
However, as we now know, the Bees now look to be the most likely side to sign Marmoush this summer, with Brentford once again showing their ambitions in the market ahead of what could be be an exciting season for the west London club.
Brentford must be confident in winning race to sign Marmoush

Marmoush was one of Germany’s breakout stars last season, and Brentford will now be confident in signing the Egyptian star ahead of the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham given that the Bees have made the first move to Wolfsburg for the 23-year-old.
Blessed with pace and incredible dribbling ability, Marmoush could be perfect for Brentford’s style of play under Frank, and should the west London side win the race for the attacker, Arsenal and Tottenham will be kicking themselves for not moving faster to land the Bundesliga talent.
