According to Eurosport, Brentford are considering offering Marcus Forss a new contract amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Premier League club Tottenham and Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Forss from Brentford, according to to report.
However, it has been claimed that the Championship club do not have any intention of selling the 21-year-old forward.
The London outfit, who are aiming to clinch promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season, are considering offering the Finland international a six-year contract with the promise that he will get his chance, according to the report.
Brentford stay?
Tottenham are a big club, and one would understand the temptation to work for a world-class manager like Jose Mourinho.
However, with Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Carlos Vinicius in the present squad, Forss would struggle for regular playing time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Staying at Brentford for now does seem sensible. The 21-year-old Finland international could get chances in the coming weeks and months, as Ivan Toney will need rest from time to time.
According to WhoScored, the 21-year-old has made two starts and 14 substitute appearances in the Championship for Brentford so far this season, scoring five goals in the process.
Dele Alli situation
Meanwhile, according to The Daily Mail, Tottenham head coach Mourinho did not give any explanation to Dele Alli why he was not part of the matchday squad for the Premier League game against Leicester City at the weekend.
The report has added that Tottenham have not informed the England international midfielder of their plan regarding his future.
