Jeremain Lens scores the second goal for Sunderland
Reports in Turkey today are suggesting that Sunderland and Fenerbahce have come to an agreement for Jeremain Lens to stay another season at the Super Lig club.
AMK Spor is reporting that Sunderland and the Turkish club have come to an agreement over a deal that will see Lens join the club for another season next term, following his successful loan spell this campaign.
It has previously been suggested that Sunderland wanted to sell the player, but no deal was ever likely at the price-tag they wanted. It seems they may have relented and given the player his wish, as he has made it clear he only wants to play football for Fenerbahce next season.
The Dutchman, who the Guardian claim cost the Black Cats a fee in the region of £13 million from Dynamo Kiev, was reunited with his former Sunderland and PSV Eindhoven boss Dick Advocaat in Istanbul and reduced the wage bill at the Stadium of Light.

Since then he has become a hit in Turkey and is also not welcome back at Sunderland. This comes after Sunderland boss David Moyes labelled him a disgrace after the Dutchman appeared to wish for Sunderland’s relegation in January.
That wish appears to be coming true, and Lens seems to be getting all his wishes at once with this apparent agreement over a loan extension.
