Liverpool’s Kevin Stewart asking price is putting off interested trio West Bromwich Albion, Brighton & Hove Albion and Huddersfield Town, The Sun reports [16 June, page 60].
It is claimed the Reds are refusing to sell players on the cheap this summer, despite Jurgen Klopp’s plan to strengthen his team ahead of its return to the Champions League. And the Merseyside club are said to value Stewart at £5 million.

The former Tottenham Hotspur youngster signed a new five-year contract in November 2016, but has failed to appear in a Premier League match since two months prior to that.
West Brom are seeking reinforcements after Darren Fletcher’s shock departure to Stoke City, while Brighton and Huddersfield – whose manager David Wagner is close friends with Liverpool boss Klopp – are both looking to strengthen after their promotion to the top flight.

The Sun reports that Huddersfield and Brighton have already gone head-to-head for the signing of former Terriers loanee Aaron Mooy, who is expected to return to the John Smith’s Stadium from Manchester City for an initial £8 million fee.

And the tabloid claimed last week that West Brom are also considering a move for Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone, whose contract is said to contain a £2 million release clause.
