According to reports from Bola, Liverpool’s £4.3 million offer for Bruno Martins Indi has been rejected by Porto.

Liverpool have endured a shaky start to their Premier League campaign so far and one of the main problems troubling the Reds at the moment is their shaky backline.

The obvious weak link for Liverpool is Alberto Moreno and manager Jurgen Klopp seems to have already lost faith in the Spaniard, having deployed James Milner as the left back over the last two games against Burnley and Burton Albion.

It is clear to see that Milner is not too comfortable in the full-back position and Klopp may well have to dip into the transfer market in order to bring in a proper replacement for the inconsistent Moreno.

Recently, Turkish outlet Fanatik had gone on to claim that Klopp had identified Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi as an alternative to Moreno and that Liverpool had placed a bid of around £4.3 million for the Dutch international.

Now in an update to the story, Portuguese outlet Bola have gone on to claim that the bid from Liverpool has been rejected by Porto.

The report states that Porto are looking to recoup the money they spent on Martins Indi two seasons ago and now Liverpool will have to place a bid in the region of around £6 million in order to sign the 24-year-old this summer.
