Italian outlet CMW claim that Liverpool are willing to offer Naby Keita to Juventus in a straight-swap deal to sign Adrien Rabiot – after reports emerged last week that he would be open to joining Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Rabiot, 27, has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Juventus after spending the last three years with the Old Lady. He has managed one league title, adding to his collection of six Ligue 1 medals from his time at PSG.

Reports last week said that Rabiot is keen on a move to the Premier League and is willing to join any of the top four – with Champions League football his requirement. Liverpool are now said to want the £15m-rated (Telegraph) man.

Now, CMW go into more depth. They claim Liverpool have informed Juventus of their willingness to include Keita in a deal. The Guinea star’s time at Anfield has not been a success. Like Rabiot, he is in the final year of his deal.

Either Liverpool extend his contract or sell him off this summer in order to bring in some cash for his signature. The other options include letting him go on a free, or using him as a pawn to sign another player – Rabiot perhaps.

This would be a good bit of business from the Reds. Keita has not lived up to expectation and certainly not his price tag. Realistically, he would be worth a similar fee to the one Rabiot is valued at.

Branded “exceptional” by Klopp, Keita has also been offered in a deal for Nico Barella to drive the Inter star’s price down. It looks as if the ex-RB Leipzig man will be leaving Anfield, but there are numerous possible ways he can.
