Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will sell Nathaniel Phillips in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror.

Nathaniel Phillips to leave Liverpool this summer

The report has claimed that “Phillips will move on” from Liverpool at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old English central defender is under contract at he former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners until the summer of 2025.

Phillips was linked with a move away from Liverpool in the January transfer window as well, but the defender, described by manager Jurgen Klopp as “unbelievable” in Goal.com in April 2021, stayed.

Exit inevitable

In our view, it is inevitable that Nathaniel Phillips will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.

The defender is struggling for playing time at Liverpool, and we do not think that the Englishman will want to stay at Anfield beyond the end of the season.

After all, Phillips’s career is not going anywhere.

Moreover, the Reds could get some transfer fee if they cash in on Phillips at the end of the season.

The defender has made one start and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season.

Phillips has also made one start and one substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup and has played once as a substitute in the FA Cup for the Reds this campaign.
