Lascelles has starred for Newcastle United this season, with Liverpool the latest club to be linked with his services.
Liverpool will continue to watch Jamaal Lascelles ahead of a possible big-money January bid for the Newcastle United captain, according to the Shields Gazette.
It is claimed that the Reds sent a representative to Newcastle’s 4-0 win against Birmingham City on Saturday, with manager Jurgen Klopp said to be seeking defensive reinforcements as he looks to maintain his side’s Premier League title push.

Chelsea were linked with an £18 million move for Lascelles earlier this year, however, according to the Shields Gazette, the Magpies are unlikely to entertain bids for the former Nottingham Forest player.
The 23-year-old has been a key member of Rafa Benitez’s side, who have opened up a six point lead on third-place Reading and look set to secure an immediate return to England’s top flight.
At the time of Chelsea’s alleged interest, Lascelles told the Chronicle: “I saw a little bit (of the speculation). I really don’t know where that has come from. I can’t pay any interest in it.
“I am a Newcastle United player and my job is to stay here and hopefully be picking up a trophy at the end of the season. That is a long way away and that is my main objective and I won’t be thinking about anything else.”

Liverpool have conceded the most goals (20) of any of the Premier League’s top six this season and the capture of Lascelles could help to shore up their ailing back line.
The Derby-born centre-back has kept nine clean sheets in 19 Championship outings.
