Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing the Zenit St Petersburg striker.

According to a report from Russian media outlet Soviet Sport, Liverpool scouts were in attendance at the Russian Super Cup between Zenit St Petersburg and Lokomotiv Moscow to watch Sardar Azmoun in action.
And they would have been impressed with what they saw, with the 24-year-old scoring two goals during Zenit’s defeat to Lokomotiv Moscow.
The 44-capped Iran international was in fine form for Zenit last season, racking up 17 goals and seven assists in 33 appearances in all competitions, and he would be an interesting addition for Liverpool.
Standing at 6ft 1in tall, the Iranian is strong in the air, and he would provide a fantastic focal point for the Reds’ attacking play.
The Zenit ace would offer Jurgen Klopp with an entirely different option through the middle, and he would provide strong competition for Roberto Firmino up front.
The Express claims that Liverpool have been interested in the ‘Iranian Messi’ since 2016, and now that he is 24-years-old, it might just be the right time for him to make the move to England.

Azmoun only joined Zenit in February, for £10.5 million according to the Express, so Liverpool will undoubtedly have to offer much more than that, if they want to prise him away from the Gazprom Arena.
He has the ability to be a success in the Premier League, and after his display for Zenit at the weekend, Liverpool might just be tempted to take the plunge on the Iran international this summer.
