Liverpool did have an interest in landing Santos winger Angelo but he is now going to sign for Chelsea instead.
Chelsea are set to make yet another signing with Santos wide man Angelo now heading for Stamford Bridge.
That is according to 90Min, who claim that Chelsea have managed to beat a number of Premier League rivals to Angelo’s signature.
Liverpool are understood to have registered an interest in bringing Angelo to Anfield having been attracted to his potential.
Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest were interested too but it’s Chelsea who have won the race.
It’s stated that Chelsea are paying £13million to sign Angelo and personal terms have already been agreed.
Barcelona do have a first option clause on Angleo but are allegedly not planning to use it, paving the way for his Chelsea move.
Missing out on Angelo may sting a little for Liverpool, but their funds are better off being used elsewhere this summer.

Angelo could leave Chelsea on loan straight away
Liverpool seemingly won’t have to face Angelo in the upcoming Premier League campaign though.
The London Evening Standard report that Angelo will immediately go out on loan to Chelsea’s new sister club Strasbourg.
Todd Boehly and co added another club to their portfolio last week by taking over French side Strasbourg.

We can probably expect to see a number of Chelsea players head to Strasbourg in one way or another.
Angelo would get that started by heading to France on loan, picking up valuable experience of playing in European league.
The 18-year-old has plenty of games under his belt in Brazil but playing in Europe will be a much different prospect.
Liverpool will now turn their attentions elsewhere, with Jurgen Klopp and co still in the market for more midfield additions.
