Glasgow Rangers have seen their chances of keeping Ryan Kent at Ibrox take a major hit.

According to a report from the Daily Record, Steven Gerrard is already losing hope in the battle to keep Ryan Kent at Rangers, with his parent club ready to cash in as the Gers loanee continues to attract attention from other sides.
Kent has enjoyed an outstanding year at Ibrox. He has often looked like Gerrard’s most dangerous player, and the build-up to the upcoming Old Firm game provides a reminder of the devastating impact he made in the previous meeting, when he set up the only goal with a lovely piece of skill to send Mikael Lustig flying back in December.
Understandably, it appears that Gerrard is hoping to bring the wide-man back for a second spell in the summer. And with Liverpool boasting so much attacking quality, it seemed to be reasonable to suggest that Rangers may have a good chance of getting something agreed.
However, the Daily Record is now reporting that the Reds feel that this summer could be the perfect time to cash in on Kent with his stock as high as it has been for a while, and thus, they are prepared to sell for between £8-£10 million.

The Record adds that Kent has ‘come to terms’ with the idea that he will leave Rangers in the summer, with a number of English sides ready to make Liverpool an offer for the 22-year-old.
It would be a blow for the Gers if they were unable to bring Kent back for a second spell. When he is on form, he is arguably as good as any player in the Scottish Premiership.

And he has the potential to get significantly better when you consider the fact that it seemed to be a gamble from Rangers to take him on loan in the summer after difficult spells in the Championship and in Germany.
Unfortunately for the Gers however, it appears that he will not get the chance to realise that full potential at Ibrox unless the club decide to break the bank to keep him when the window opens.
