Liverpool are keen to bring Naby Keita to Anfield, but will have to submit a big money offer to sign him.

According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool are prepared to smash their transfer record to bring in Naby Keita from Red Bull Leipzig.

Liverpool have already been warned off Keita, with Leipzig slapping a £70 million price tag on the Guinea international.

However, the Reds believe that the Bundesliga side may be persuaded to part company with their star midfielder.

Liverpool feel that an actual bid may change Leipzig’s stance, and will submit a big money offer for the 22-year-old in the near future.

Keita was one of the standout performers in Germany over the past campaign, with his energy catching the eye.

Keita was the heartbeat of Leipzig’s side, and he scored eight goals and claimed eight assists over the course of the campaign.

If he was brought to Liverpool he would immediately strengthen Jurgen Klopp’s options in central midfield.

Liverpool have already broken their transfer record once this summer, by bringing in Mohamed Salah from Roma.
