According to DH, Liverpool want to sell Simon Mignolet in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported by the Belgium news outlet that Liverpool consider the former Sunderland goalkeeper to be too expensive to be the number two at Anfield.

Alisson joined Liverpool from AS Roma in the summer of 2018 and has established himself as the first choice between the posts.

DH has claimed that if Alisson does not get injured, then Liverpool will sell Mignolet at the end of the season.

Leaving Liverpool

Mignolet has been on the books of Liverpool since the summer of 2013 when he joined from Sunderland for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £9 million and when Brendan Rodgers was in charge of the Reds.

The 31-year-old Belgium international made a lot of mistakes between the posts last season, and it is hard to see the goalkeeper even regain his place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup.

It will make sense for Mignolet to leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window and find a club where he can play regularly.
