Liverpool are interested in signing Parma playmaker Adrian Bernabe – a talent who only left Manchester City this past summer.

That’s according to Bernabeu Digital, who claim that many clubs already want Bernabe.

It’s stated that Real Madrid would like to bring Bernabe back to Spain.

Yet with Liverpool keen and Paris Saint-Germain in the race, Bernabe finds himself a wanted man.

Sources close to Bernabe claim there is plenty of interest but no offers on the table just yet.

Bernabe’s history at Manchester City

Bernabe was born in Barcelona and spent time in Barca’s academy ranks.

In 2018, Bernabe joined Manchester City. With 11 goals and 16 assists in 54 outings for City’s Under-23’s, Bernabe impressed.

He only managed five first-team appearances though, and was released when his contract ended this summer.

Bernabe suffered a nasty shin injury nearly a year ago, which stunted his development at City.

Liverpool moving for Bernabe seems strange

Michael Edwards likes finding young talent, but Bernabe seems like a strange target.

The 20-year-old playmaker only joined Parma this summer, and hasn’t even played for them yet.

If Liverpool rated Bernabe that highly, moving for him this summer would have made some sense.

But to suddenly want him now, after he’s signed for Parma? What has changed?

It just doesn’t add up to us, with Bernabe unlikely to be on Liverpool’s wish list without even kicking a ball this season.
