Liverpool are reportedly keen on Barcelona teenager Sergio Gomez – but Chelsea are set to win the race.

According to The Sun, Chelsea are prepared to pay a whopping £7m for Barcelona teenager Sergio Gomez, blowing Liverpool out of the water.
Many Barcelona talents have made the switch over to England over the years, with Arsenal in particular cherry-picking the Catalan giants by signing Cesc Fabregas, Hector Bellerin, Jon Toral and Julen Pleguezuelo.

Now, it’s midfielder Gomez attracting interest. The 15-year-old, primarily an attacking midfielder or left winger, has impressed in Barcelona’s youth setup, and looks to be the next star to come out of the club’s famed La Masia academy.
That’s if he stays, though. Gomez is now a wanted man, and The Sun claim that both Chelsea and Liverpool are keen to land him this summer.

Liverpool will naturally be a tempting proposition given that they have Jurgen Klopp in charge, and the German will be a major lure for players all over the world.
However, the Reds look set to be outbid by Chelsea, who are allegedly ready to pay a stunning fee to land the Spanish youngster and lure him to Stamford Bridge.

The report states that Chelsea are prepared to fork out a whopping £7m for Gomez, having been tipped off that he wants to leave Barcelona this summer.
£7m is a huge fee for a 15-year-old talent, and whilst he’s tipped for the top, Liverpool and Klopp may prefer to spend that kind of money on a first-team player.
