Liverpool step up interest in RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita, but still want to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal as well.
According to the Mirror, Liverpool are getting ready to make a bid for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita as their summer spending continues.
Keita is valued at £70m by his current club and Reds manager Juergen Klopp has identified the 22-year-old as one of his top targets after an impressive 2016/17 in the Bundesliga.

The Guinea international scored eight league goals and provided seven assists as Leipzig defied the odds to finish second in German’s top tier, having only been promoted the summer before.
Yet while the Merseysiders have stepped up their interest in Keita, the Liverpool Echo reports that this does not mean an end to the pursuit of Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
An official approach from Anfield has already been made for Oxlade-Chamberlain, but the Gunners knocked them back as they still hope the England international will sign a new deal at the Emirates Stadium – with the 23-year-old about to enter the final year of his current contract.
Yet that does not mean that Liverpool have given up hope of landing the midfielder themselves and would like to see both the Englishman and Keita join the club this transfer window.
