Brentford loanee Sergi Canos celebrates
Liverpool are close to sanctioning the sale of talented prospect Sergi Canos, the Liverpool Echo report.
The Echo claim the Reds are unwilling to pay Canos’ wage demands of £10,000 per week, and so they are listening to offers for him instead.

Canos, 19, spent last season on loan at Brentford and scored seven league goals for the Championship side.
While the Echo had previously claimed Liverpool were hoping to net £4 million for Canos, the latest report states they are looking to sell at £2.5 million.
The club closest to meeting their asking price is Bristol City, with it claimed they are ‘lining up a move’.

The decision to sell the Spaniard may seem like a disappointing one with his career at such an early stage but there is good news for Liverpool supporters, with it claimed they are insisting on a buy-back clause as part of the sale.
This would give Liverpool the option to buy Canos back at a fixed price, within a specified time frame.
Real Madrid have recently invoked their own buy back clause to bring back Alvaro Morata from Juventus.
