Liverpool are reportedly about to step up their efforts to sign the Spaniard.

Liverpool are ready to go all-out in their efforts to sign Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio, according to a report from El Desmarque.
The Reds have had a very low-key transfer window so far, with 17-year-old defender Sepp van den Berg being their only recruit.
But if a report from Spain is accurate, that could change in a major way.
El Desmarque reports that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Asensio and is ready to ‘throw the house’ at signing the £75 million-rated Real Madrid attacker.
The report adds that Klopp views the 23-year-old as cover for Mo Salah, but that Zinedine Zidane wants Sadio Mane to be included in the deal.
The news about Liverpool wanting Asensio is nothing new but it seems like Klopp is ready to throw the kitchen sink at the issue now, if that report is believed.
But one thing is for certain: there’ll be no resolution over this saga if Real genuinely want Mane to be included in the transfer.
That just won’t happen in a million years.
The Senegal international is far more important to Klopp than Asensio would be and therefore it doesn’t make a lick of sense why the German manager or Michael Edwards would sanction that proposal.
