Liverpool are set to make a second offer for Norwich City’s Jamal Lewis in the coming weeks, according to the Guardian.
Norwich have rejected Liverpool’s first bid for the full-back, which was thought to be worth around £10 million up-front.
The Canaries are seemingly holding out for a higher price for the 22-year-old, but Liverpool are still hoping to get a deal done.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are working on a limited budget, but are apparently expected to make an improved bid soon.
If Lewis was to sign for Liverpool it is likely that he would job to add further depth to the Reds’ options at the back.
Liverpool currently could be left short of Andy Robertson was to get injured, as they don’t have any other truly natural left-backs in their senior squad.

Lewis, therefore, could be an appealing addition, especially as he looks to have an extremely bright future ahead of him.
The Northern Ireland international, who was labelled as ‘magic’ by Daniel Farke in the Irish Times this season, was part of a Norwich side who were relegated this term, but his performances still managed to catch the eye.
Lewis’s pace was extremely evident over the past campaign, and he also showed his attacking talents regularly.
And if Klopp could work on the defensive side of his game, then Liverpool could have an excellent full-back in the years ahead.
