Liverpool reportedly want Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will make a £15 million bid for the 26-year-old goalkeeper.
The Merseyside outfit are reportedly looking at Pope as an alternative to AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who would cost £70.
Good signing for Liverpool?
Pope is a good goalkeeper who has proved himself in the Premier League, and the 26-year-old would be a smart signing for Liverpool.
The former Charlton Athletic goalkeeper is a good shot-stopper, and his overall game is also very encouraging.
According to The Sun, Pope earns £15,000 per week as salary at Burnley, meaning that the Reds would not have to pay him a lot of money to convince him to move to Anfield in the summer transfer window.
Burnley’s plan
Burnley, though, may not be willing to sell Pope in the summer transfer window and could keep him at Turf Moor.
According to The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 22:29pm, Saturday, June 9, 2018), the 26-year-old goalkeeper has agreed on a new deal with Burnley which will see him remain at Turf Moor until 2021.
