According to Goal, Liverpool are big fans of RB Salzburg’s Luca Sucic, and the Reds believe he could be a future superstar.
The 19-year-old Croatian has made a real impact in Austria this season as Salzburg won the Bundesliga title.
Sucic netted eight league goals from midfield this term, and as a teenager, he still has so much room to improve.
Liverpool are keen to add a new elite midfield signing this time next year, and Sucic could certainly be one to look out for.
Given the Reds’ links to the Red Bull clubs, this may not be too difficult of a deal to pull off either.
Indeed, Liverpool have a knack of snapping up talented young players from the RB-stable of clubs. Ibrahima Konate was signed from RB Leipzig last summer, while Sadio Mane and Takumi Minamino both came from Salzburg – albeit Mane arrived at Anfield via Southampton.
The Red Bull clubs certainly know how to identify an elite talent, and there is reason to believe that Sucic could be the next player on the ever-growing conveyor belt of top players to come from this stable of clubs.
Whether or not Sucic ends up at Liverpool remains to be seen, but if he does, don’t be surprised if he follows in Mane’s footsteps and becomes a star after leaving Salzburg.
