Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have reportedly told Aston Villa target Manuel Ugarte that they will bid for him.

Accordion to Record, Liverpool and Aston Villa are interested in signing Manuel Ugarte from Sporting Lisbon in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are also keen on the 22-year-old Uruguay international defensive midfielder.

Record have reported that Liverpool have told Ugarte that they will put in an offer for him.

Sporting want the youngster’s release clause of €60 million (£52 million) paid in full for any transfer to happen in the summer of 2023.

Manuel Ugarte would make Liverpool better

In our view, Sporting Lisbon defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte would be a good signing for Liverpool, not just for now, but for years to come as well.

The Uruguay international is a very good and promising defensive midfielder who has already got quite a big of experience despite being just 22 years of age.

The Sporting no. 15 has made 27 starts and three substitute appearances in the Portuguese league this season.

The 22-year-old also played six times in the UEFA Champions League, four matches in the UEFA Europa League, and thrice in Taca da Liga for Sporting this season.

Liverpool do need to freshen up their midfield and have to add more energy and dynamism in the middle of the park.

We believe that Ugarte would be a good addition to Jurgen Klopp’s team.
