Bayern Munich will sell Robert Lewandowski this summer if the striker doesn’t renew his contract with the club, with Liverpool eyeing the forward.
According to Sport Bild via GGFN, the Bavarian giants have issued an ultimatum to the Polish international; sign a contract with the club, or be sold next summer, with Lewandowski’s deal with Bayern set to expire in 2023.
With talks over a new deal set to begin in the near future, the news could be a revelation for the likes of Liverpool. According to Sky Germany via Four Four Two, the Reds are keen on Lewandowski, with Manchester City and Chelsea also keeping tabs on the attacker.
With Lewandowski hitting a ridiculous 34 goals so far this season, a reminder that we are still in January, it is no wonder that three of the biggest clubs in the Premier League are keeping track of the attacker’s contract situation.
Indeed, the striker has previously admitted that he is open to playing in the Premier League one day as per Sky Germany. And with Lewandowski’s contract discussions yet to get going, Liverpool could sniff an opportunity with the 33-year-old talisman.

Lewandowski leaving Bayern seems like an unlikely possibility, even with the forward’s contract talks failing to take off. And yet, Liverpool could be feeling confident about their chances in pulling off a ridiculous signing.
After all, Lewandowski earned his big break in European football under Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, with the duo winning the German double and reaching the UEFA Champions League final with the Bundesliga giants.
And with Lewandowski potentially departing Bayern in the next 18 months should contract talks prove unsuccessful, Liverpool could have the added edge with Klopp when trying to lure the striker to the Premier League.
