The representatives of Brazilian wonderkid Kayky have turned down a new contract at Fluminense amid interest from Premier League champions Liverpool, as reported by UOL.
The skilful Samba starlet has been compared to Neymar – for a reason.
Like the Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kayky is supremely talented, a weaving, high-stepping winger who could skip through a field of landmines and escape with barely a scratch.
And while grainy, YouTube compilations should be viewed with a pinch of salt, Kayky certainly looks a special talent – although the sample size is admittedly small and it remains to be seen whether the youngster can make the step to first-team level.
Netflu recently reported Liverpool have been watching Kayky closely and have made contact with his representatives.

Those same representatives, UOL believes, have turned down the chance to sign a new contract with Fluminense. His current deal expires in 2022 and one of Brazil’s biggest clubs may be forced to cash in now due to fears Kayky could walk away for free.
Interestingly, Liverpool signed another Fluminense starlet in the summer when goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga joined for £1.8 million.
UOL believes any deal for Kayky would be structured in a similar way.
Interestingly, Shaktar Donetsk have also expressed interest in signing Kayky when he turns 18 in June.
The Ukrainian champions have a superb track record when it comes to giving Brazilian prospects a chance to prove themselves in Europe, from Willian to Fernandinho and Fred to Douglas Costa.
