According to Sky Germany, Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi has decided on his next club after rejecting Barcelona, with the deal 95% likely to happen.

What’s the story?

Well, the 19-year-old is one of the hottest forwards in Europe right now, and it’s no surprise to see Liverpool register an interest.

Adeyemi has scored 15 goals in 26 games so far this season, while also providing two assists.

However, Sky Germany believe he now wants to join Borussia Dortmund.

Adeyemi favours a move to the Bundesliga over a switch to Liverpool, as he aims to break into Hansi Flick’s World Cup squad in 2022.

The 3-cap Germany international feels he has a better chance of being included if he’s playing his football in Germany.

Sky‘s transfer expert Max Bielefeld believes Adeyemi is now 95% likely to join Jürgen Klopp’s former side.

Liverpool must fight for Karim Adeyemi

If Adeyemi impresses in the Premier League, he will be a shoe-in to start for Germany at the 2022 World Cup.

In that respect, a move to Liverpool wouldn’t harm his chances, so the Reds must push to fight Borussia Dortmund for his signature.

Adeyemi is a potential superstar, and Klopp won’t want to lose out on another exciting youngster to his former club, after losing Donyell Malen to them back in July (Daily Mail).

The Premier League’s financial muscle dwarfs that of the Bundesliga, so Liverpool can surely win this race if they want to by blowing Borussia Dortmund out of the water.

Keep an eye on this saga, as we wouldn’t be surprised to see a late twist, potentially involving Liverpool.
