According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool have submitted a €70m (£59m) bid for Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak, who Arsenal also want.

What’s the story?

Well, Liverpool and Arsenal look set to do battle over the precocious Sweden international, who has a bright future in the game.

Mundo Deportivo believe the Reds submitted a huge offer for Isak, which would make him their third most expensive signing behind Virgil van Dijk and Alisson.

However, those at Real Sociedad fear it was a false alarm, as Liverpool try to speed up another transfer pursuit.

If it was a genuine offer, then Arsenal will surely have something to say about it.

AS believe the Gunners are desperate to sign Isak, and Edu is fighting to ensure he ends up at the Emirates Stadium.

So far this season, the 22-year-old has scored eight goals in 32 appearances, while also providing three assists.

We can see why the Premier League duo are such big admirers of the Swede.

Isak is a huge talent, and has even drawn comparisons to Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Solna-born wonderkid has an impressive record for Real Sociedad, netting 41 goals in 121 appearances for the Spanish side.

Isak is a forward just waiting to explode, which we feel he would do under Jürgen Klopp or Mikel Arteta.

The German has a fantastic track record for developing attacking talent, whereas Arteta has also proven his credentials through his work with Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.

Keep an eye on this saga, as it seems Isak could soon be coming to the Premier League.
