Liverpool are strongly pursuing a deal for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud, reports the Daily Mail.
The Reds were first credited with an interest in the 20-year-old two months ago, with GianlucaDiMarzio claiming they were keen on his signature.
He enjoyed a strong season for the Bundesliga side, as he became the first Syrian born player to feature in the German top flight.
He made 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and registering eight assists to establish himself as a key player in the side.

That caught the attention of Jurgen Klopp who, according to Goal, views the youngster as a player that he can help develop into a top player in the years to come.
And it seems they are now keen to get a transfer completed, with the Daily Mail claiming they are ‘aggressively pursuing’ a deal for his signature.

They may face a fight to secure him though, with Borussia Monchengladbach unlikely to be keen on the idea of selling their young star.
They have already lost Granit Xhaka to Arsenal and Havard Nordtveit to West Ham United this summer, which would surely make keeping Dahoud a priority.
