According to BILD, Liverpool are still trying to sign David Alaba from Bayern Munich, despite worrying reports about Real Madrid’s interest.
Yesterday, Fabrizio Romano wrote in the Guardian that Real Madrid had won the race to sign the 28-year-old from the German champions.
The Italian said that a pre-contract agreement had been drawn up, and would be signed after Alaba passes his medical.
Romano adds that the Austria international will earn £204,000-a-week after tax, and has always dreamed of playing for Real Madrid.
However, BILD say that, despite Romano’s report, there is still a chance for the other clubs interested in Alaba.

BILD deny that a medical will take place, and emphasise that others are keen to sign the nine-time Bundesliga winner – ‘especially’ Liverpool.
Whoever wins the race to sign Alaba will be getting a phenomenal player.
The versatile Champions League winner drew huge praise from Pep Guardiola while the pair worked alongside each other at the Allianz Arena.

When asked about Alaba, the Bundesliga’s official website quotes the Spaniard as saying: “He’s just incredible, he’s just…wow! He can play everywhere.”
It seemed like Real Madrid had wrapped this transfer saga up following Romano’s report in the Guardian.
However, Liverpool appear to have a fighting chance if BILD are to be trusted.
