Spanish website Defensa Central claim Liverpool star Luis Diaz is dreaming of a move to Real Madrid at some point in his career and following in the footsteps of Colombian icon James Rodriguez – though the timing of a move is unclear.
Diaz, 25, only joined Liverpool in January from Porto. He has made a wonderful start to life at Anfield despite Liverpool being somewhat inconsistent under Jurgen Klopp since his move to Merseyside. He has clocked up 38 appearances.
A knee injury has limited Diaz to just 12 appearances this season – but he has still managed to clock up seven goal involvements. In that time, he has scored four goals and laid on three assists. He has 18 involvements in his 38 games.
But reports from the Spanish outlet claims he is dreaming of a move to Real Madrid at some point in his career. Still only 25, it might be towards the end of his twenties that he realises his dream – but not good news for Liverpool.

Could Madrid make a move for the Colombian? Their first priority will be replacing Karim Benzema, and perhaps bringing in midfielders to cover the impending departures of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, who are now 37 and 32.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have options out wide. Eden Hazard, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Lucas Vazquez and more. But Hazard is struggling for form. Rodrygo is more of a striker and Vazquez is hardly good enough to start week in, week out.
They need a top-class winger and Diaz might be the man Ancelotti decides to target. Liverpool signed Diaz for a fee in the region of £37million, initially. But his form in England will surely see the Reds rate him at a fee double that figure.
