Liverpool have reportedly rejected a move from Sunderland for attacker Danny Ings.
Liverpool’s Danny Ings scores
According to the Daily Mail, Sunderland have failed in a move to sign Liverpool striker Danny Ings ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
The Black Cats are expected to be busy in the coming days as the transfer windows enters into its final stages, but manager David Moyes appears to have been rebuffed in his attempts to land a new striker.

Jermain Defoe scored his second goal of the season against Southampton on Saturday, but the veteran needs support around him – and Moyes allegedly wanted to add another Engish attacker to help him.
The Daily Mail report that Sunderland moved to take Danny Ings on loan from Liverpool, but the Reds have rejected their attempts to sign him – and have ’emphatically’ told the Black Cats that Ings isn’t available at all, no matter whether the bids are loan or permanent moves.

Ings, 24, became a star with Burnley having hit 37 goals in just two seasons for the Clarets, earning himself a move to Liverpool last summer, as well as an England call-up last season.
However, the pacey forward missed almost all of the campaign having suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in October, and he’s only just returning from a huge lay-off.
Despite having Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi for an attacking role, manager Jurgen Klopp has decided that Ings is staying at Anfield this season – possibly because the Reds just allowed Christian Benteke to leave the club for Crystal Palace.
Liverpool’s Danny Ings
Moyes will be frustrated to miss out on Ings, as he’d have provided a real spark to the Sunderland attack, but he’s almost used to missing out on the striker now.
As reported by The Mirror, Moyes met with Ings in 2015 to try and tempt the forward into signing for Real Sociedad, but Ings rejected the move in order to join Liverpool, meaning Moyes has again missed out on his signature.
