Liverpool look set to haunt Southampton once again in the transfer market, the Daily Mail reports.
The Reds have prised away a number of Saints stars in recent campaigns, with Adam Lallana, Nathaniel Clyne and Sadio Mane becoming key figures at Anfield.
And it seems as though Liverpool are keen to cut out the middle man, signing Czech goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros despite Southampton’s interest.
According to the Daily Mail, the Slavia Prague player impressed the Reds during a recent trial spell and the Merseyside club are now closing in on his signature.
Liverpool were recently banned from adding Premier League or EFL talents to their academy ranks for the next two years, although the second of those is suspended for three years.
However, there are no sanctions in place to prevent Jurgen Klopp’s side from shopping abroad, which will enable the arrival of 15-year-old Jaros.
Meanwhile, Southampton’s Jason McCarthy could be heading back to the EFL when his current Walsall loan deal expires, with Sheffield United, Bradford City and Fleetwood Town all linked, as reported by the Irish Sun.
