Liverpool are reportedly set to sign Falkirk defender Tony Gallacher.
According to a report from The Scottish Sun, Liverpool are poised to complete the signing of Falkirk defender Tony Gallacher in a £200,000 deal.
The Reds made waves early in the transfer window, having broken their transfer record to sign Southampton centre back Virgil Van Dijk, and then sold star playmaker Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
Jurgen Klopp may still be in the market for new signings, but his latest alleged deal is with more emphasis placed on the future rather than the present.
Now, The Scottish Sun report that Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Falkirk teenager Tony Gallacher, with the fee involved just £200,000.
Gallacher, 18, recently spent time on trial with Liverpool, and he has seemingly done enough to convince Klopp to launch a £200,000 bid, which has now been accepted.
The left back has already made 26 first-team appearances for the Bairns after coming up through the ranks with the club, whilst he also nine caps for Scotland at youth level.
In January of last year, the Daily Record reported that Barcelona were looking to sign Gallacher, but now Liverpool have allegedly won the race for his signature.
Gallacher joins fellow Scottish left back Andrew Robertson at Anfield, and will be hoping to eventually claim first-team opportunities just like his compatriot.
