The Liverpool boss is a much-loved figure at Anfield.
According to an exclusive report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Liverpool are preparing to offer manager Jurgen Klopp a new five-year contract worth €10 million (£8.8 million) per year plus bonuses.
The German took over as manager of the Reds in October 2015, and he has worked wonders at Anfield.
Liverpool are now widely considered to be one of the best, most exiting football teams on the planet, and that is all down to Klopp.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss currently earns around £7 million per year, according to the Sun, and his reported new deal would make him the second highest paid Premier League manager.
Calcio Mercato claims that the Liverpool owners will offer Klopp a new £8.8 million per year deal (£170,000 per week), in order to bat away unwanted attention from Juventus.
The 51-year-old is undoubtedly one of the world’s best managers, and he is fully deserving of an improved contract.
His Liverpool side could win a historic double this season, but at the same time, they could end up empty-handed.
And should Klopp guide them to glory, he will surely be able to demand as much money as he wants.
