According to Tuttomercatoweb, Inter Milan have a new deal agreed with midfielder Marcelo Brozovic amid interest from Liverpool.

It’s claimed that Inter have the new deal drawn up and ready to go, with Brozovic set to sign in a crucial move for the Serie A giants.

Brozovic will sign until 2023, and the new deal will remove the €60million (£54million) release clause in his existing deal, which would have been valid until July 15th.

The Croatian’s deal will see him earn €4.5million-a-year, which works out to around £77,000-a-week. It sounds like the contract is ready and waiting for Brozovic to sign, potentially frustrating Liverpool.

Throughout 2020, Liverpool have been linked with a move to sign Brozovic. The most recent report from FC Inter News claimed that Brozovic’s priority was Inter and not the Reds.

Brozovic, 27, has become a mainstay of the Inter side since his 2016 move from Dinamo Zagreb. He possesses outstanding energy and work rate, as well as top ability on the ball.

That would have meshed well with Jurgen Klopp’s style amid concerns about Gini Wijnaldum’s future, but it looks like Inter have managed to keep hold of Brozovic.
