Liverpool have now joined the race to sign Nordsjaelland winger Kamaldeen Sulemana.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who suggest that Liverpool are now battling Manchester United for the 19-year-old’s signature.

United appear to be ahead in the race; they’re opening talks over a £12million deal and Liverpool are considered to be ‘outsiders’ in the race.

The Reds did though send scout Mads Jorgensen to watch Sulemana in action against Copenhagen on Monday night; a game in which the Ghanaian scored.

Sulemana now has 10 goals and six assists this season, and looks set to be Nordsjaelland’s latest export for considerable cash.

They may not be well-known, but Nordsjaelland have helped develop the likes of Stanislav Lobotka, Emre Mor, Mikkel Damsgaard, Andreas Skov Olsen, Mathias Jensen and Marcus Ingvartsen.

Sulemana will seemingly be next to go, following Kudus on the path from Right to Dream in Ghana to Nordsjaelland and then to a huge European club.

Liverpool could end up being that destination, so what would they be getting?

Sulemana predominantly plays in from the left flank or up front, showing blistering pace and quick feet, as well as strength that will remind fans of Sadio Mane; that’s a comparison already being made.

Sulemana’s speed and huge potential seemingly makes him ideal for Liverpool, and Michael Edwards will be keeping close tabs on his situation.
