According to The Mirror, Liverpool are back in the race to sign West Ham United teenager Reece Oxford, but have competition from Manchester City and Manchester United.
Oxford, 17, was on the books at Tottenham Hotspur before joining up with West Ham back in 2011, and he’s become one of the most highly-rated young players in England.

Capable of playing at centre back or in holding midfield, Oxford had already established himself as an England youth star, before making an impression in the Premier League with a superb debut against Arsenal back on the opening weekend of the season in August.
Now though, Oxford has allegedly snubbed a new contract at West Ham, and Premier League rivals are circling for his services ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Mirror report that, whilst Manchester City and Manchester United are both keen on Oxford, Liverpool have now re-joined the race for his signature having failed to land him last summer.
It’s believed that manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to land Oxford because of his versatility, and hopes that his reputation for developing young players will help persuade Oxford to choose Anfield and complete a deal this summer.

However, West Ham are believed to be asking for around £10m for Oxford, which is a huge fee for a played who doesn’t turn 18 until December – but with top clubs circling, the teenager could well be on the move this summer.
