Report: Liverpool ready to hand Mohamed Salah £200,000-per-week salary

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool are ready to hand Mohamed Salah a new contract worth £200,000 per week, according to The Mirror.

It has also been reported that Salah has told his friends that he will not leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

The report has further claimed that the Egypt international winger is high on the summer transfer list of Spanish and European giants Real Madrid.

According to The Independent, Salah is on a weekly salary of £90,000 at Liverpool at the moment.

Sound plan, but need for caution

Salah has been one of the best players of the season in the Premier League and is easily the best footballer at Liverpool.

The former Chelsea winger has scored 28 goals and provided nine assists in 28 league starts for the Reds so far this season.

However, Liverpool should be cautious about increasing Salah’s weekly salary to more than double than what he is getting now. After all, this is the Egypt international’s first season at Anfield.
