According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Liverpool have reached an agreement with LOSC Lille over the signing of Renato Sanches.
In a detailed transfer report, the Italian news outlet state that the Reds have negotiated a deal for the Portugal international in the background, while Inter Milan and Barcelona sniff around Georginio Wijnaldum.
TuttoMercatoWeb add that Sanches is valued at around €20 million (£18.1 million).
The former Bayern Munich maestro may have to be sold by the Ligue 1 outfit amid a time where they’re facing severe financial difficulties.
COVID-19 has affected LOSC Lille’s opportunities to repay debt through player sales, as Get French Football News recently covered along with a host of other top French sources.
One of those – La Voix du Nord – wrote that Sanches could be offloaded in a bid to raise some funds.

So, what type of player is the 23-year-old?
Well, as the Bundesliga’s official website detailed, German legend Lothar Matthäus made the bold statement of comparing Sanches to…himself!
The 1990 World Cup winner said: “The way Sanches began and then scored the goal, it was similar to how I played. The commitment, dynamism, speed, participation, steadiness – he could have fallen twice en route to goal.
“In that sense, he really reminded me of myself.

Sanches has done well to resurrect his career, which looked in danger of faltering after a failed season-long loan move to Swansea which ended in relegation.
He was once thought of as a wonderkid, costing Bayern Munich a potential €80 million (£71.7 million) when they signed him as an 18-year-old.
