According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool would prefer to sign Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon than Hull City’s Andrew Robertson as they search for a new left back.
Left back has been one of the key problems during Jurgen Klopp’s reign as Liverpool manager, with Alberto Moreno’s disappointing performances keeping him out of the team almost all season.
Rather than use the Spaniard, Klopp has played right-footed midfielder James Milner at left back, and whilst he has been serviceable, a natural left-footer is needed to give some balance to the Liverpool defence.
Now, the Liverpool Echo report that Liverpool are prioritising Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon over Hull City talent Andrew Robertson as they ramp up their efforts to sign a new left back.

Sessegnon, 16, has risen up through the ranks at Craven Cottage, becoming arguably the most exciting teenager in the Championship having enjoyed a remarkable debut season in league football.
The left back – who can also play as a left winger – has notched five goals and two assists in 24 appearances for Fulham, making him one of English football’s most in-demand prospects.

Liverpool now hope to win the race for his signature, prioritising him ahead of Hull City left back Robertson, another possible target for the Reds in a potential £8million deal.
Robertson has impressed for Hull since joining from Dundee United back in 2014, and the 23-year-old Scot has notched one goal and two assists in 29 Premier League outings this term, putting him on Liverpool’s radar – but Sessegnon appears to be the top left back target for Liverpool this summer.
