Liverpool have now reportedly entered the race for AFC Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic after a huge update from the club’s president.
According to Tutto Sport, the Merseyside giants are one of the multiple clubs preparing to make an offer for the Serbian international. As per the report, Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso has confirmed that Vlahovic has rejected a new deal.
Despite interest from some huge clubs around Europe, it looked like Vlahovic was set to sign a new deal with Fiorentina with a set release clause and a huge wage increase. However, the 21-year-old attacker has turned down this proposal.
Indeed, it is a big update for a player the Liverpool Echo once compared as ‘the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic’. Vlahovic is a target for the likes of Juventus, Tottenham and Manchester City, as per Tutto Sport.
However, this update has now brought added interest. AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are now also keen on Vlahovic, who could now leave Florence in the next 12 months. However, the Tuscany club have set the price high for the attacker.
As per the Daily Mail, Fiorentina have set a €90m (£77m) price tag for Vlahovic. Whether or not a club will match this fee is another question, but given the amount of interest in the Liverpool target, this fee could well decrease.
Liverpool could struggle to sign Vlahovic

One thing is for certain, though. And that is that the Reds will have one hell of a task in trying to sign the promising attacker. With so many clubs in for Vlahovic, Jurgen Klopp will have his work cut out for him.
And with the likes of Juventus and City all keen on Vlahovic, the quality of opposition could make it a hard sale for Liverpool, even though Roberto Firmino is a player who could be replaced in the coming transfer windows.
