The Liverpool midfielder is nearing the end of his current contract Anfield.

According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are keen to offer veteran midfielder James Milner a new deal this summer.
The 33-year-old, who currently earns £140,000 per week according to Spotrac, has just 12 months remaining on his current deal with the Reds.
Milner joined Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer of 2015, and he’s gone on to make 177 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside outfit.
And he is now considered to be one of the Reds’ most important players.

Jurgen Klopp has an extremely strong group of players at his disposal at Anfield, and keeping Milner around will be vitally important to the development of some of the club’s exciting youngsters.
Milner’s versatility is key to Liverpool, although he is clearly more comfortable when playing in the heart of midfield.
And signing him down to a new long-term deal will be great news for the club as they head into the new Premier League campaign.
