According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are one of the clubs hoping to snap up Manchester City winger Javairo Dilrosun in 2018.

City have brought in a host of talents to their youth ranks in recent years, with Manu Garcia, Yangel Herrera, Pablo Maffeo, Aleix Garcia, Angelino and Douglas Luiz all arriving in recent times.

Another player to join City in recent years was winger Javairo Dilrosun, who came in from Ajax back in the summer of 2014, but he has struggled to make the grade.

The 19-year-old wide man has yet to make his first-team debut, but he appears to be attracting interest as City potentially face up to life without the teenager.

The Daily Mail report that Dilrosun’s contract expires next summer, and whilst City may hope to tie up a new contract for the Dutch youngster, clubs are seemingly pursuing his signature.

It’s claimed that Premier League rivals Liverpool are keen, as are Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Juventus and Valencia, meaning a major transfer battle could be sparked in 2018.

City won’t want to lose Dilrosun to a Premier League rival, but if the Dutch teenager fancies his chances of building up to the first team under Jurgen Klopp, he may well chose to leave the Etihad Stadium.

City still have time to hand Dilrosun a new deal, and may well be jolted into life having lost top young talent Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund back in August.
