According to SIC Noticias (via Greek outlet Athena), Liverpool are plotting a move for Olympiacos centre-back Ruben Semedo.
The report states that Jurgen Klopp’s side plan to offer the Portugal international a five-year contract.
Additionally, it is mentioned that Olympiacos have slapped a €20 million (£18 million) price tag on the 26-year-old’s head amid interest from the Premier League champions.
If Liverpool did manage to sign the defender, he would be the second player they’ve bought from Olympiacos in the space of a few months.
The Reds did business with the Greek giants over the summer when moving to bring Kostas Tsimikas to Anfield.
Semedo has made ten appearances in all competitions so far this season, and has only been on the losing side twice.

The Amadora-born player is unbeaten domestically with Olympiacos – the only games he has lost have come in the Champions League against Porto and Manchester City.
This news comes after Klopp recently lost Joe Gomez to a knee injury while on international duty with England.
The former Charlton man joins Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the treatment room, as the Reds’ backline becomes completely devastated by fitness issues.

Semedo doesn’t sound like the only name on Klopp’s list.
The Mirror reported that the ex-Borussia Dortmund boss has changed his mind regarding his January plans.
The German initially wanted a young centre-back to play understudy, but he is now seeking a more experienced figure with Dayot Upamecano and Kalidou Koulibaly mentioned in the report.
