According to France Football, Liverpool are interested in raiding Sochaux for defender Willy Kambwala this summer.
It’s claimed that Manchester United have recently shown an interest in signing Kambwala, but they face competition from bitter rivals Liverpool.
The Reds are believed to be interested in adding Kambwala to their youth ranks, and a battle between the old enemies could take place.
Kambwala is just 15, but already stands at 6ft 3in tall. Primarily a centre back, Kambwala can also play in holding midfield too.
A France Under-16 international, Kambwala could be a star of the future – and the latest to come through the Sochaux ranks.
Midfielder Lucien Agoume left the Sochaux ranks for Inter Milan last summer, whilst Ibrahima Konate and Marcus Thuram have both come through their setup in recent years.

If Liverpool can sign Kambwala and develop him to hit the levels of Konate or Thuram, then he could be absolute bargain for the Reds.
Having missed out on PEC Zwolle’s Rav van den Berg, the brother of Reds talent Sepp van den Berg, according to De Stentor, Liverpool may now go for Kambwala as they seek to add a young defender to their ranks – but will face a battle to get him.
