According to The Independent, Harry Wilson is set to leave Liverpool for Fulham.
The Wales international has been out of favour at Anfield for quite some time now, and it seems as though he’s finally found a new permanent home at Craven Cottage.
The Reds had hoped to get £15m for the winger, but according to this report, he’s set to move for just £10m.
Wilson is a victim of bad timing at Liverpool, at one point he looked like he’d be a future star for the Anfield outfit, but with Mo Salah’s brilliance and the emergence of Harvey Elliott, his route to the first-team became incredibly congested.
Now, that isn’t to say that Jurgen Klopp never rated Wilson. In fact, Klopp has had a lot of good things to say about the winger, claiming that his shooting is world-class in the past.
“His shooting is world-class. Find me five players who shoot better than him. That is obvious, but the game is about more and that is what he has to improve and that is clear,” Klopp said.
This deal works for all parties, Liverpool are getting a decent fee for a fringe player, while Wilson is joining a club that will utilise him as a key player.
Fulham are certainly getting a talented footballer here.
