Yasser Larouci is set to leave Liverpool on a free, just months after he was strongly linked with a move to Leeds United, the Athletic report.

Larouci has struggled for game time at Liverpool this season, with the youngster only playing in the under-23’s.

With the left-back’s contract expiring, he has opted not to pen a new deal, meaning he appears to be getting ready to depart Anfield.

Leeds had previously been linked with him, but the Athletic report that they walked away because any transfer was too expensive.

The Whites are now thought to be looking at more experienced left-backs, although whether they could rekindle their interest in Larouci, as he is available for free, remains to be seen.

The 20-year-old remains fairly highly regarded at Liverpool, but dislodging Andy Robertson has proven impossible.

If Larouci does move on he will surely want to be promised more game time at his next club.

Leeds have the likes of Stuart Dallas and Gjanni Alioski though, so there would be no guarantees over him actually getting a place in Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
